We’d like to share a few reasons why we love composite decking so much and why we feel so confident using composites for all of our decking projects.

Here are a few of our top reasons…

1:  Less maintenance than wooden decking
Composite decking is a lot like pre-finished flooring. It arrives as a finished product and never needs sanding, staining, or painting — just an occasional soap and water cleaning.

2:  Composite decking is safer
Wood-plastic composite decks will not splinter, split, crack, or rot, making your outdoor space safer for children, pets, and your bare feet.

3:  Composite decking looks like natural wood
Composite decking has come a long way in the past five years. Today’s composites reflect the beauty of natural and exotic hardwoods, complete with subtle streaking and varied wood grain patterns.

4:  Protecting the environment
Fiberon composite decking is made from locally-sourced recycled plastic, lumber mill scraps and other materials. Using these materials means we prevent more than 60,000 tons of plastic and other waste from ending up in landfills or incinerators every year. Plus, our composites prevent further deforestation, do not contain the toxic chemicals often found in pressure-treated lumber, and are manufactured in a process that produces zero water waste.

5:  Born and built in the USA
Since 1997, Fiberon has been manufacturing and selling high-quality composite decking and railing products designed to make outdoor living easy. Everything is made in the United States, either in Fiberon’s home state of North Carolina or in their Idaho facility. Today, Fiberon products are sold throughout North America, and to more than 30 countries in Europe, Asia, Australia, and Central and South America.
